IMPact Foundation supports Fondazione Humanitas per la Ricerca in carrying out the research project dedicated to men’s health named “Computer-aided diagnosis of prostate cancer through real-time machine learning during micro-ultrasound imaging.”
The project, led by Professor Nicolò Buffi, aims to improve the diagnosis of prostate cancer (the second most common cause of cancer death in men) through AI applied to real-time ultrasound imaging. By combining new technological tools with clinical research experience, it aims to offer increasingly early, accurate and personalised diagnostic tools that can assist urologists in standardising and interpreting microUS images, thereby providing highly reliable diagnosis prior to pathological confirmation.
