Description: The project, named “I ragazzi della Via Volta,” aims to offer socio-professional rehabilitation and resocializing activities to a group of 20 young adults aged 18 to 35 with a history of major mental disorders. Major mental disorders are defined as schizophrenia spectrum disorders, major depression, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. Eating disorders, anxiety disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and addictions are excluded.

The proposed pathway provides:
Resocialization activities: aimed at fostering social autonomy and relational skills, useful for possible future work integration and for a pathway to autonomy, they consist in offering socio-cultural and sports activities outside Progetto Itaca’s premises, as well as on-premise activities in the appropriate meeting spaces.
Rehabilitation activities: the young people are involved in secretarial, cooking, gardening, tidying up, social media page management, bar management activities to develop their learning, housing, and work autonomy.

Those who show adequate potential will be included in personalised vocational guidance programmes managed by tutors (estimate: 10 people), as well as housing guidance programmes (estimate: 5 people).
