Social Market Solidando

IMPact Foundation supports the IBVA association in managing the activities of the Solidando project. Solidando is the first social market established in Milan: a supermarket where families in need can shop for free, according to their wishes and with the dignity of real customers. After an analysis of the individual’s situation, cards that families can use for their purchases are assigned. Besides supporting the social market located at Via Santa Croce, Milan, IMPact Foundation supports the opening of a second social market at Via Appennini, also in Milan.
The outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine has greatly impacted the economic performance of the two social markets, which have also been made available to refugees fleeing the conflict, and has greatly increased requests for access and necessitated an increase in staff working hours. The grant is mainly aimed at purchasing food and baby and toddler products not covered by the free offerings of large-scale distributors, as well as covering logistics and staffing costs
