Make-A-Wish was founded in Genoa in 2004, as part of a larger project started in 1980 in the US. It aims to make wishes come true for children battling a serious illness, with the goal of providing positive experiences that can help children look ahead with renewed hope and can make them stronger in fighting the disease.
